MACLURE DESIGNS

Lauren is passionate about surface design and its power in creating her environment and designing personalised spaces for others. This portfolio includes a variety of design disciplines applying Surface Patterns to lights, wallpaper and soft furnishings.

Lauren graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Design from Liverpool Hope University, specialising in printed textiles and metal design. She then gained industry experience by working in the creative arts in New Zealand and Australia.

She continued to develop new ideas for surface design. The natural world inspired her most recent designs taking inspiration from three years of extensive travels.

Lauren is currently completing my MA in Surface Pattern and Textiles at the University of Central Lancashire, researching the question 'Can awe-inspiring nature inspire designs that benefit our wellbeing?' Staying close to the theme and benefits of Biophilic Design, she is experimenting with designing Immersive environments looking at various aspects, including light design, tactile textiles, and Prints and Murals.
